KCB Foundation 2jiajiri Scholarship 2023

The KCB Foundation was established in 2007 to implement the KCB Bank Groups Corporate Social Responsibility programs and as a sign of commitment to sustainable development to alleviate poverty and enhance well-being. To date, the KCB Foundation has invested an estimated 1Billion Kenya shillings in community programs in Kenya, South Sudan, Rwanda Tanzania, Uganda and Burundi. As a good corporate citizen, the KCB Bank Group is committed to sustainable development, prosperity and poverty reduction to address the hardship, high poverty levels and interconnected challenges that affect communities in Eastern Africa.

The KCB Foundation programs are designed to address issues of relevance specifically within the thematic areas of Education, Enterprise Development, Health, Environment and Humanitarian Intervention. The programs are customized in each of the KCB countries to ensure that they are answering to the relevant development priorities.

Scholarship Selection Criteria
Eligibility:To qualify for the skills and enterprise development project scholarships, all applicants must fulfill the criteria below:

  • Have a National Identity Card
  • Be able to read and write in Kiswahili and/or English
  • Commit to attend all training sessions in participating technical training institutions/vocational training centers in their county of residence.
  • Be within one of the two categories (Business Owner, Apprentice)
  • Contribution of KES. 2000/= towards the school fees. This is payable to the training institution upon receiving official communication from KCB Foundation on award of the scholarship.

Method of Application

Instructions

  1. Fill out the application form as clearly and as completely as possible.
  2. Only complete applications will be considered and admission into the programme is based on a competitive selection process.
  3. Once Completed, Download the form and present it during the interview. (After Submitting your responses download and/or print the form by selecting the “print or get PDF of answers” tab)
  4. During the interview, candidates will be expected to come with completed application forms with passport size photo attached together with copies of National Identity card and certificate of their highest academic qualification. 
  5. The candidates will also be expected to present originals of the above documents. Failure to produce these documents will lead to automatic disqualification.
