Competiton Authority of Kenya Internship

The Competition Authority of Kenya (the Authority) is a Statutory Agency established under the Competition Act No. 12 of 2010. The Authority’s mandate is to promote and safeguard competition and also protect consumers from unfair and misleading market conduct.

Competition Authority of Kenya Internship 2023

The Authority operates a One-Year Internship Program for fresh university graduates. The objective of the program is to expose graduates joining the labor market to a real work environment in order to enhance their skillsets and employability.

Internship Opportunities at the Competition Authority of Kenya (the Authority)

  1. Buyer Power Intern
  2. Corporations Secretary and Legal Services Intern
  3. Enforcement and Compliance Intern
  4. ICT Intern
  5. Planning, Policy, and Research Intern
  6. Supply Chain Management Intern

Buyer Power Intern

  • The Authority does not guarantee employment after completion of the Internship Program;

Academic Qualifications

  •  Buyer Power- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution

General requirements:

  •  Beneficiaries of the Authority’s previous Young Professionals and Internship Programs are not eligible;
  • Must be below 35 years of age

Corporations Secretary and Legal Services Intern

Kindly Note:

  • The Authority does not guarantee employment after completion of the Internship Program;
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered; and
  • Diversity balance considerations will be applied in the selection process.

Academic Qualifications

  • Corporation Secretary and Legal Services – Bachelor’s Degree in Law from a recognized Institution.

General requirements:

  •  Beneficiaries of the Authority’s previous Young Professionals and Internship Programs are not eligible;
  • Must be below 35 years of age

Enforcement and Compliance Intern

REF NO – CAK/03.08/2023

Kindly Note:

  • The Authority does not guarantee employment after completion of the Internship Program;

Academic Qualifications

  • Enforcement & Compliance- Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Economics, Law, Business Administration or equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution

General requirements:

  • Must be below 35 years of age

ICT Intern

Academic Qualifications

  • ICT – Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Computer Science/Business Information Technology, Telecommunication/Electronic Engineering or any equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.

General requirements:

  •  Beneficiaries of the Authority’s previous Young Professionals and Internship Programs are not eligible;
  • Must be below 35 years of age

Planning, Policy, and Research Intern

Kindly Note:

  • The Authority does not guarantee employment after completion of the Internship Program;

Academic Qualifications

  • Planning, Policy and Research – Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Economics, Statistics, Project Management, Monitoring and Evaluation or any business related degree

General requirements:

  •  Beneficiaries of the Authority’s previous Young Professionals and Internship Programs are not eligible;
  • Must be below 35 years of age

Supply Chain Management Intern

Kindly Note:

  • The Authority does not guarantee employment after completion of the Internship Program;
  • Incomplete applications will not be considered; and
  • Diversity balance considerations will be applied in the selection process.

Academic Qualifications

  • Supply Chain Management – Bachelor’s Degree in any of the following disciplines: – Procurement, Purchasing, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Administration or any equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.

General requirements:

  •  Beneficiaries of the Authority’s previous Young Professionals and Internship Programs are not eligible;
  • Must be below 35 years of age

The application shall include:

  • Application letter;
  • Curriculum Vitae (CV);
