Keroka Technical Training Institute was founded in the year 1991 as a resource center offering short term courses to resource persons under the Ministry of Labour. In 2008, it was elevated to a Technical Training Institute (T.T.I) in the Ministry of Education Science and Technology offering more long term and module courses.
We are currently recruiting to fill the following positions;
- Vocational and Technical Trainer – Electrical Engineering (Power Option)
- Vocational and Technical Trainer- Building Technology
- Vocational and Technical Trainer – Land Survey
- Vocational and Technical Trainers- Analytical Chemistry
- Vocational and Technical Trainers- Catering and Accommodation
- Vocational and Technical Trainers- Clothing and Textile/Fashion and Design
- Vocational and Technical Trainer – Information Communication Technology (ICT)
- Vocational and Technical Trainers- Secretarial Studies
- Assistant Vocational and Technical Trainers – Plumbing
Vocational and Technical Trainer – Electrical Engineering (Power Option)
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields: Renewable Energy, Wind and Geothermal Energy, Solar Installation, Green Energy, Electrical (Power Option) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution; or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.
Duties and Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities at this level will include:-
- undertaking training in areas of specialization in accordance with the syllabus;
- preparing teaching/learning materials and schemes of work;
- setting and marking examination/assignment;
- carrying out research work under the guidance and supervision of a senior trainer; and
- supervising trainees’ projects and practical work
Vocational and Technical Trainer- Building Technology
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:-a Higher Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Building & Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Quantity Surveying, Land Surveying, Water Engineering, Architecture or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution; andi be registered by the Relevant Professional Body (where applicable)

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in in any of the following fields: Analytical Chemistry, Applied Biology, Aquaculture and Fisheries, Chemical Engineering, Community Health, Economics and Statistics, Environmental Science, Health Records, Mathematics and Physics, Mathematics & Statistics, Medical Laboratory, Nutrition and Dietetics, Pharmaceutical, Physical Education, Science Laboratory Technology, Tannery and Leather Work or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields: Food & Beverage, Catering & Accommodation, Tourism Management or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.

- setting and marking examination/assignment;

Vocational and Technical Trainers- Clothing and Textile/Fashion and Design
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields: Clothing and Textiles Technology, Fashion Design, or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.

Vocational and Technical Trainer – Information Communication Technology (ICT)
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have a Bachelors Degree in any of the following fields: Information Science, Records Management & Information Technology, Library & Information Science or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution.

Vocational and Technical Trainers- Secretarial Studies
For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:- a Higher Diploma in any of the following disciplines: Accounting, Business Management, Human Resource Management, Public Relations, Media Studies, Journalism, Sales and Marketing, Supply Chain Management, Cooperative Management, Banking and Finance, Secretarial Studies, Entrepreneurship, Project Management, Community Development & Social Work or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution; and been registered by the relevant professional body (where applicable)

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have a Diploma in any of the following fields: Building Technology, Land Surveying, Building Construction, Plumbing or equivalent and relevant qualifications from a recognized institution

Method of Application
Interested and qualified persons are requested to submit their applications directly to the institutions where vacancies exist by filling ONE (1) PSC 2 (Revised 2016) application form and attaching copies of National ID card, academic and professional certificates, transcripts.
