uManitoba Webmail Login

uManitoba webmail is easy to access. As a student of the University of Manitoba, you need to regularly log in and check your UM email for important info. You need your UM email address to access UM Learn.

In this guide, we’ll go through how to access your uManitoba webmail, activate your UM account and change passwords.

How to Log Into uManitoba Webmail

To access UM email,

  1. Navigate to umanitoba.ca/email.
  2. On the page, click on the “UM student and staff email” tab.
  3. This will take you to the Microsoft Outlook page.
  4. Enter your UM email address.
  5. Sign in by entering your password.
  6. Then, select the Outlook app.

How to Activate your UMnetID

The University of Manitoba offers staff and students access to a variety of online services including U of M email, campus wireless internet, access to lab and classroom computers, UM Learn, Jump, and more.

To activate your U of M computer account (UMnetID) follow the steps below.

Before you begin:

  • You need your student or employee number.
  • You need your student or employee number.
  • A student that accepts their offer of admission can activate their umnetID after 48 hours.

How to Create your UM Account

Visit our new identity and account access solution signUM and click ‘Create UMnetID’

  1. Fill out your last name, student/staff number, and your date of birth.
  2. Read and accept the usage agreement
  3. Students will need to read and Accept the Office 365 Usage agreement
  4. Answer the Password and Challenge questions and click Submit
  5. You have successfully claimed your UMnetID and UM email account
  6. Finally, be sure not to tell anyone your password.

How to Change your UM Password

If you’ve lost or forgot your password, you may be able to reset your password on your own by visiting Iridium.

For signUM to be able to reset your password, you will have to have logged into it previously and set answers to your security questions.

Resetting your password from signUM

  1. Visit signum.umanitoba.ca
  2. Then click on Forgot Password.
  3. You will then be prompted to answer 3 of the security questions in which you should have previously set if you had previously logged into signUM.
  4. If you successfully answer your 3 secret questions, you will be prompted to set a new password.

Resetting your password without signUM

You will need to call or visit the IST Service Desk to have your password reset. The Service Desk will issue you a new password that will allow you to log in to signUM and set your new password, provide answers to your security questions, and enable or disable any accounts you may need access to.
