Do you have a project or innovation in Kenya, Rwanda and Ethiopia offering solutions in any of these sectors – Environment, Health & wellbeing and Inclusive Economies? Apply now for the Transform East Africa Fund 2023.
Transform aims to reach as many startups as they can which have Innovations within the areas of health, waste, water and sanitation, environment, inclusive economics, raising living standards and impacts a large amount of people while at it. This time round they are looking to get as many startups as possible to choose from giving a better and equal chance for startup in rural and marginalised areas to compete for grant funding.
Benefits
- Minimum of 2 to Maximum of 5 top startups will be awarded between £100,000 GBP to £300,000 GBP grant to further strengthen their startup innovation and allow them to scale.
Eligibility
- Open to startups from across the the 3 countries namely Rwanda, Kenya and Ethiopia.
- Each entry must:
- Have the name and contact details of those entering;
- Include all other information required on the entry form;
- Be from within Kenya, Rwanda and Ethiopia;
- Be submitted on or before the challenge submission deadline.
Judging Criteria
A Technical Advisory Group formed by ACIH, Assek and E4Impact will provide substantive and hands-on technical support to the management team of the Call for Applications as well as advising on new approaches to popularising innovation in response to emerging events markets and trade.
The below criteria will be used for judging after taking into consideration whether your startup innovation fits into the criteria that they have mentioned.
- Use-case feasibility and impact: 30%
- Implementable and scalability: 30%
- Entrepreneurial and innovativeness: 20%
- Technical competence: 20%
