Tomorrow Trust Bursary Application Form

The Tomorrow Trust Bursary Programme offers financial assistance to those studying an Undergraduate Degree, an Honours Degree or a Diploma Certificate.

The Bursary will provide assistance to students who are studying or have registered to study at the University of Pretoria, the University of the Witwatersrand, the University of Johannesburg, the University of Cape Town, Stellenbosch University and Rhodes University.

The Bursary Programme is aimed at students who are independent, with a problem solving mindset.  Personal skills in the form of professional skill development are at the forefront of the Bursary Programme, with an in-house psychologist provided to all successful applicants.

The Tomorrow Trust Bursary Programme takes an allrounder approach to successful applicants, providing them with financial as well as personal support.

The Tomorrow Trust is a South African non-profit organization formed in 2005.  The purpose of the organization is to provide a multidimensional level of support towards orphaned and/or vulnerable children.

This includes helping them on their journey towards obtaining a good quality education.  The Tomorrow Trust works with both the private and the public sector to help mould the next generation of leaders. 

About Tomorrow Trust Bursary

  • The University of the Witwatersrand (Wits)
  • The University of Johannesburg (UJ)
  • The University of Cape Town (UCT)
  • Stellenbosch University (SU)
  • Rhodes University (Rhodes)

Eligibility

Kindly note that prospective applicants need to satisfy all the requirements of the Tomorrow Trust Bursary in order to be considered for the programme:

  • Applications are open to South African citizens ONLY.
  • Applications are open to those falling between the ages of 18-25.
  • Applications are open to those studying an Undergraduate Degree, Honours Degree or Diploma Certificate.

Please note that prospective applications have to be studying / have applied to study at the:

  • University of Johannesburg (UJ)
  • University of the Witwatersrand (Wits)
  • University of Cape Town (UCT)
  • University of Pretoria (UP)
  • University of Stellenbosch (US)
  • Rhodes University (Rhodes)

Failure to adhere to the requirements of the Tomorrow Trust Bursary Programme will result in a rejected application.

What does the Tomorrow Trust Bursary Cover?

The Tomorrow Programme will provide successful applicants with financial assistance to help pay for the costs of the relevant Undergraduate Degree, Honours Degree or Diploma Certificate.

The financial assistance will take the form of full or partial:

  • Financial assistance to pay for the relevant textbooks.
  • Financial assistance to pay for the relevant tuition costs.
  • Financial assistance to pay for the accommodation costs.
  • Financial assistance to pay for the food costs.
  • Financial assistance to pay for the transportation costs.

Successful applicants will be provided with:

  • In house psychologists who will provide psycho-social and academic support.
  • Monthly workshops which will help improve the necessary professional skills.
  • Networking opportunities.
  • Holiday work.
  • Alumni membership post-graduation.

Please note that successful applicants will be expected to volunteer with children from grades R to 12 at Tomorrow Trust.
