The Sanlam Actuarial Bursary was developed to assist students in the field of Actuarial Sciences with financial cover.

About Sanlam Actuarial Bursary
If you are planning to study in the direction of Actuarial Sciences then this bursary can assist you with the financial cover you need. Sanlam’s Actuarial Bursary program is looking for individuals with these defining attributes to deliver on the promise that Sanlam has made. A promise to protect and grow their clients’ wealth, for themselves as well as for their families.
Eligibility
This Bursary program applies to candidates who wish to pursue a career in Actuarial Science. Sanlam’s Actuarial Bursary will require the applicant to meet the following criteria to be considered for selection:
- The candidate must be a South African citizen.
- The candidate must be a Matric student.
- The candidate must have accomplished Mathematic skills.
- The candidate must have a minimum of 90% in Mathematics.
- The candidate must have an overall “A” average.
- The candidate must be enrolled or registered to study in 2022.
Please be aware that preference goes to candidates that fall within certain groups (Black/Indian/Coloured).
What does this Bursary cover?
This Bursary program provides financial cover for a students’ tuition and accommodation fees. A general allowance for textbooks and pocket money will also be provided. Students will receive continuous support and payment toward their actuarial board exams.
Vacation work will also be available along with mentoring and academic support from Sanlam actuarial professionals. Students are also guaranteed employment with Sanlam after the completion of their studies.

- A certified copy of Grade 11 final results and Matric mid-year results.

- Do you have the skills and will to become an Actuary?
- If you do not become an Actuary, what career will you pursue?
