This article contains information on how to gain access to the National Transport and Safety Authority (NTSA) Self Service Portal (https://tims.ntsa.go.ke/) also known as the NTSA Citizen Self-service Portal.
The National Transport and Safety Authority was established through an Act of Parliament; Act Number 33 on 26th October 2012. The objective of forming the Authority was to harmonize the operations of the key road transport departments and help in effectively managing the road transport sub-sector and minimizing loss of lives through road crashes.

The NTSA TIMS Self Service Portal also known as the Transport Integrated management system, allows Kenyans to manage and apply for services like, Vehicle Registration, Renewal of Driving License, Vehicle Transfer and Psv Badge applications.
There are three types of accounts
- Individual account
- Company account
- Institution account

Who is Eligible to Have a NTSA Self Service Account?
Anyone who has a Kenyan National Identity Card and a KRA PIN can apply for NTSA TIMS account and access all the services offered.
How to Register on the NTSA TIMS Self Service Portal
The following is a guide on how to access IATA Customer Portal:
- Go to https://tims.ntsa.go.ke/
- Click on ‘Register An Account’
- Select account type
- Enter your ID Serial No.
- Then click on ‘verify’
- Fill important information
- Complete your registration.
