About NOSDRA
The National Oil Spill Detection and Response Agency (NOSDRA) was established in 2006 as an institutional framework to coordinate the implementation of the National Oil Spill Contingency Plan (NOSCP) for Nigeria in accordance with the International Convention on Oil Pollution Preparedness, Response and Cooperation.

NOSDRA is under the supervision of the Federal Ministry of Environment. Just like every other agency under the Ministry of Environment, NOSDRA has a consolidated salary scale.
The NOSDRA salary structure is solely based on the grade level and is paid based on the Consolidated Research and Allied institutes (CONRAISS) Salary Scale.
Staff on Grade Level 7 Step 1 earn about N1,073, 217 per annum (before deductions). That is about N89,400 per month.
Staff on Grade Level 8 Step 1 earn about N1,247, 854 per annum (before deductions). That is about N103,900 per month.
Also, there are some allowances accrued to personnel of the NOSDRA, but these allowances are paid based on the position occupied in the agency.
