The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) is a Federal agency in Nigeria charged with eliminating the growing, processing, manufacturing, selling, exporting, and trafficking of hard drugs. The agency was established by Decree Number 48 of 1989. The NDLEA is present in international airports, seaports, and border crossings. The NDLEA also targets the leaders of narcotics and money laundering organizations.

NDLEA Salary
The NDLEA salary structure relies on grade levels and steps, which help maintain order and control by distinguishing officers at the same level.
The salary is determined by the Consolidated Paramilitary Salary Structure (CONPASS) because the agency is a paramilitary structure. Other allowances, except rent, are consolidated with the basic salaries.
Salary is also determined by one’s level of education. HND holders are assigned to Level 7, while degree holders are assigned to Level 8. And there are currently openings for BSC and HND holders.
The following is the NDLEA Salary Structure: Graduating from the NDLEA and being placed on Grade Level 8 Step 1 earns over ₦888,000 per year (before deductions).

This equates to about ₦74,000 per month. Step 2 of Grade 8 earns over ₦900,000 per year (before deductions). This equates to about ₦75,000 per month.
According to the NDLEA, HND holders are placed on Grade Level 7 Step 1 and earn around ₦54,000 per month and over ₦650,000. NDLEA, OND/NCE holders are placed on Grade Level 6 Step 1 and earn around ₦50,000 per month and over ₦600,000. NDLEA Salary Structure for O Level, ₦ 40,000 per month. They earn over ₦ 400,000 yearly.
