Functions of the Nigeria Customs Service
The functions of the Nigeria Customs Service include, but not limited to the following:
- Anti-Smuggling activities;
- Generating statistics for planning and Budgetary purposes;
- Monitoring Foreign Exchange utilization etc;
- Engaging in Research, Planning and Enforcement of Fiscal Policies of Government;
- Security functions;
- Collection of Revenue (Import /Excise Duties & other Taxes /Levies) and accounting for same;
- Manifest processing;
- Registration and designation of collecting banks;
- Working in collaboration with other government agencies in all approved ports and border station
- Licensing and registration of Customs Agents
How to Apply for Nigerian Custom Service Recruitment
Interested and qualified candidates should visit the Nigeria Customs recruitment portal at https://vacancy.customs.gov.ng/
This application process is ABSOLUTELY FREE. NIGERIA CUSTOMS SERVICE (NCS) will NEVER request any form of payment from applicants.
All applicants will undergo a fair recruitment process.
Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) Recruitment Requirement
All candidates applying for 2021 vacancies at The Nigeria Customs must possess the following requirements:
• Be a Nigerian Citizen by birth or descent
• Applicants must be between the ages of 18-30 years
• Not be less than 1.7 meters in height, for males and 1.64 meters for females.
• Have a fully expanded chest measurement of not less than 0.87 meters, male.
• Be certified by a Government Medical Officer to be physically and mentally fit for appointment in Service
• Not be suffering from any form of physical or mental disability
• Be free from any form of financial embarrassment
• Be of good character and must not have found guilty of any criminal offence
• Present a certificate of state of origin signed by the Chairman/Secretary of their Local Governments. Certificates endorsed by Liaison officers are unacceptable
• Possession of B.Sc, HND, NCE, OND concerning the applied position from a recognized institution.
• Any added certificate either postgraduate or professional certification will be of advantage.
• NYSC Discharge/Exemption Certificate.
• West African School Certificate (WAEC) with Credits in not less than three (3) subjects including English and at least passes in two (2) other subjects.
• Candidates must have National Examination Council (NECO) with passes in four (4) subjects obtained at one sitting or five (5) subjects obtained at two sittings including the English Language.)
• National Diploma (ND) obtained from a recognized institution.
NOTE: Any certificate or Qualification not Declared or Tendered and Accepted during application shall not be acceptable after recruitment exercise you are hereby warned:
