MIT offers many need-based scholarships to international students. For example, the average need-based MIT scholarships were approximately $45,000 a year. 33% of all students attended MIT for free, and 72% of the graduates graduated with no student loans. All MIT scholarships are need-based which means that the amount rewarded will depend on your individual family circumstances. MIT does not offer any merit scholarships to students because everyone who is admitted to MIT has a great academic background.
