Migori County Governor Dr. Ochilo Ayacko, EGH upon realizing that financing high school education still remains a big challenge to many households in Migori County, the governor has sought to introduce interventions that could supplement the National Government’s effort to alleviate the burden of educational support to families.
This educational support program under the name “Inua Elimu Governor’s Grant” is projected to contribute to the welfare of the citizens of Migori by increasing their capacities and improving their livelihoods. It will furthermore empower young people to make themselves self-reliant and dependable in future.
As a result, the department of Education invites applications for interested students who meet the requirements as listed below:
- MUST be a Kenyan and a resident of Migori County.
- He/she MUST have attained a minimum of 300 marks for boys, 280 marks for girls and 250 marks for People Living with Disability (PLWDs).

Points to Note:
- Any form of canvasing during the vetting process and the interview will lead to automatic disqualification.
- Duly filled forms be deposited/dropped to your respective ward administrator’s offices on or before 12th June, 2023.
