Revenue Assistant III – 28 Positions

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Collect revenue from the assigned revenue collection point and issue electronic receipts;
  • Banking all monies collected to the county revenue account daily;
  • Responsible for all accountable documents assigned to him/her;
  • Surrender all revenue collected in time;
  • Report daily collections to revenue clerk; and
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for Appointment

  • Certificate in any of the following disciplines: – business administration, business management, marketing or any other equivalent qualification;
  • Minimum of KCSE D Plain;
  • Certificate of computer application

Principal Administration Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Implementing administrative policies, procedures and strategies;
  • Preparing briefs and memos;
  • Compiling monthly utilization and expenditure data of all vehicles;
  • Preparing reports on motor vehicles;
  • Ensuring provision of office equipment and materials;
  • Maintaining and updating furniture and office equipment inventory;
  • Overseeing telephone and registry services;
  • Maintenance of buildings and equipment;
  • Ensuring cleaning of offices;

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Served in the grade of Chief Administration Officer for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Bachelor’s degree in any of the following disciplines: – Public Administration, Business Administration, Political Science/Government or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in Senior Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution;
  • Certificate in computer application skills; and

Legal Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail:

  • Implementing strategic plans and objectives in respect to the legal function;
  • Preparing and reviewing legal documents/instruments;
  • Handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries;
  • Preparing legal opinions and legal briefs;
  • Drafting leases and contracts;
  • Undertaking research on specific legal areas;
  • Ensuring compliance with statutory and other legal requirements;

Requirements for Appointment

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must have:

  • Bachelors of Laws (LL.B) degree from a recognized institution;
  • Post graduate Diploma in Legal Studies (Advocates Training Programme) from the
  • Council of Legal Education;
  • Membership to the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) and the Institute of Certified Public

Senior Office Administrator

Duties and responsibilities: –

Duties and responsibilities at this level will entail: –

  • Taking oral dictation;

  • Coordinating schedules of meetings and appointments;

Requirements for appointment: –

  • Served in the grade of Office Administrator I for a minimum period of three (3) years;
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Secretarial Studies or Bachelor of Business and Office Management from a recognized institution;

OR

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Social Sciences plus a Diploma in Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution;

Records Management Officer

Duties and responsibilities: –

  • Ensuring that letters are appropriately filed and marked to action officers;
  • Controlling and opening of files and updating file index;
  • Ensuring security of information/files in the registry;
  • Up-dating and maintaining up-to-date file movement records;
  • Ascertaining the general cleanliness of the registry;
  • Preparing disposal schedules and disposing dead files in accordance with relevant Government regulations; and

Requirements for appointment: –

  • Served in the grade of Records Management Officer II or in a relevant and comparable position in the Public Service for a minimum period of three (3) years;

ICT Officer I

Duties and responsibilities: –

  • Installation and maintenance of computer systems;

Records Management Officer III

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving, sorting, opening, filing, minuting and distribution of mail;

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Driving a motor-vehicle as authorized;
  • Carrying out minor mechanical repairs;
  • Recognizing and reporting abnormal operations of the vehicle;

  • Safety of passengers and /or goods therein;
  • Maintaining cleanliness of the assigned vehicles;
  • Carrying out routine checks on the vehicle’s Cooling, oil, electrical and brake systems, tyre pressure, detecting;

Requirements for Appointment

  • Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education mean grade D plain or its equivalent qualification from recognition institution.
  • Valid driving license free from any current endorsement(s) for class(es) of vehicle(s) an officer is required to drive;

Duties and responsibilities

  • Specific duties will include: –
  • Compiling statistical records;

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Taking oral dictation;

  • Served in the grade of office Administrative Assistant II for a minimum period of three (3)years;
  • Business Education Single and Group Certificate (BES & GC) from the Kenya National Examinations Council in the following subjects:
    • Typewriting III (minimum 50 w.p.m)/Computerised Document processing III;
    • Business English III/Communications II;

Duties and responsibilities: –

Duties and responsibilities will entail:

  • Implementing environmental management plans;
  • Participating in environmental audits and following up implementation of the recommendations;
  • Maintaining register on compliance to environmental legislation, propose corrective
  • actions and follow up on implementation;
  • Complying with occupational health and safety programs;
  • Inspecting waste generation and disposal;
  • Complying with the county’s environment management policy; and
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for appointment: –

  • Bachelors’ degree in any of the following disciplines: – Environmental Studies, Natural Resource Management or equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
  • Membership to Environmental Institute of Kenya or relevant professional body; and
  • Certificate in computer application skills.

Animal Health Assistant II

Duties and responsibilities: –

  • Carrying out simple treatment of animals;
  • Participating in disease search and reporting;
  • Demonstrating on milking techniques and external parasite control techniques such as dipping, spraying and dusting;
  • Carrying out vaccination;
  • Undertaking closed castration, dehorning, de-worming, disbudding, docking, debeaking and hoof trimming; and
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements for appointment: –

  • Certificate lasting not less than two (2) years in any of the following disciplines: – Animal Health Environmental Health, Animal Health and Production from a recognized institution;
  • Be registered by the Kenya Veterinary Board; and
  • Certificate in computer applications from a recognised institution

Assistant Livestock Production Officer III – 3 Positions

Duties and responsibilities: –

  • Carrying out practical demonstrations relating to livestock production;
  • Accompanying extension teams during farm visits and farm visits and farmer training;
  • Participating in field days and agricultural shows to disseminate livestock production technologies and information;
  • Collecting and collating livestock data and information for gross margins, marked access and planning;
  • Participating in collaborative research activities;
  • Collecting livestock inputs and products samples for analysis;
  • Advising farmers on group formation, construction of farm structures and equipments; and

Assistant Livestock Production Officer II (Apiculture) (4 Positions)

Duties and responsibilities: –

  • Carrying out practical demonstrations relating to livestock production;

  • Preparing and participating in field days and agricultural shows to disseminate livestock production technologies such as construction of livestock housing and structure, clean milk production, pasture and fodder production and conservation, farm planning, gross margin analysis on farm feed formulation;
  • Collating and analyzing livestock data;
  • Carrying out practical demonstrations;
  • Participating in collaborative research activities;

Duties and responsibilities: –

  • Picking bodies from wards;
  • Admission of bodies to mortuary;

  • Identifying medico-legal cases;
  • Preparing bodies for burial including embalming;
  • Body reconstruction;
  • Body cleaning and dressing;
  • Beautification-shaving, cosmetic/make-ups and plaiting;

For appointment to this grade, an officer must have: –

  • KCSE Mean grade D plain or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution
  • Certificate in Mortician Course lasting not less than six (6) months from a recognized institution;

Health Records and Information Management Assistant III

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Receiving and registering patients at hospital reception;
  • Booking appointment for patients to specialty and consultants’ clinics;
  • Storing and retrieving medical records and documents;

  • Capturing data from service points;
  • Maintaining record safety and confidentiality;

Medical Laboratory Technologist III – 7 Positions

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Decontaminating working benches, surfaces and equipment;
  • Documenting, receiving and scrutinizing laboratory requisition forms and specimens;
  • Disaggregating specimens for processing and analyses;
  • Preparing laboratory reagents;
  • Examining specimens and recording of results;

Public Health Assistant III – 5 Positions

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Mobilizing, sensitizing and advising communities on matters related to
  • environmental health;
  • Referring health cases to relevant health facilities;
  • Carrying out immunization;
  • Identifying environmental health issues at household level;
  • Organizing community health days to advise communities on common public health issues;
  • Collecting and maintaining up to date records of services rendered; and
  • Any other duties assigned by the supervisor.

  • Certificate in either Environmental Health Science, Public Health from a recognized institution;

Assistant Public Health Officer

Duties and Responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Identifying environmental health issues at community level;
  • Compiling and maintaining up-to-date records of services rendered;
  • Coordinating sanitation and hygiene programmes in the community;
  • Conducting training for public health trainees, community own resource persons (CORPS), community-based health workers (CHWS) and community health committees (CHCS) on public health issues;
  • Implementing environmental health programmes and projects;
  • Collecting water and food samples for bacteriological and chemical analysis;

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assessing patients and clients and establishing health care needs;
  • Planning and implementing nursing care interventions based on patients’/clients’ health needs;

  • delivery, administration of medication, dispensing drugs;
  • Referring patients and clients appropriately;
  • Evaluating healthcare outcomes on patients/clients preparing individualised report:

Duties and responsibilities

ECDE Teacher III – 19 Positions

Duties and responsibilities: –

  • Class teaching
  • Identifying, initiating, developing and facilitating play learning activities that will enable learners enjoy living and learning through play.
  • Developing relevant play /learning materials for all learners.
  • Preparing and developing schemes of work, lesson plans and daily programs of activities, assessment and evaluation of learners’ progress and keeping professional records.
