Applications for the Macquarie University International Scholarship Round 2023 are now open. It is a fully funded scholarship for all students sponsored by Macquarie University.

About Macquarie University International Scholarship Round
Macquarie University International Scholarship Round scheme is a scholarship program that aims to support exceptional research students enrolled in research priority areas aligned with the University’s Strategic Research Framework.
Benefits of Macquarie University International Scholarship Round
Successful PhD iRTP candidates will receive:
1. Tuition fee offset for 3 years maximum.
2. Stipend for 3 years maximum (current 2023 rate is $32,000 p.a.).
3. Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) with Medibank for the required period of the visa. The GRA will arrange single, couple, family or single parent family, whichever is applicable to the successful recipient.
4. Travel Concession (applied to local transport OPAL Card).
Successful PhD iMQRES candidates will receive:

Requirements for Macquarie University International Scholarship Round
1. You must be a citizen of a country other than Australia/New Zealand, and not an Australian Permanent Resident.
2. You will plan to undertake a Master of Research Year 2 or Doctor of Philosophy in S2 2023 (no deferrals possible).
3. You intend to reside in Sydney, Australia during your candidature.
4. You meet the HDR English Language Requirement by the application closing date.
5. You meet the admission criteria for entry into the Master of Research – Year 2 (MRes Y2) or PhD, for commencement in S2 2023.
6. You will have a valid visa allowing you to commence your study in S2 2023.
7. You have confirmation of supervision from an eligible Macquarie University researcher (compulsory for FMHHS and desirable for the other faculties).
