The Kenya Power and Lighting Company PLC (Kenya Power) owns and operates most of the electricity transmission and distribution system in the country and sells electricity to over 8 million as at end of June 2020. The Company’s vision is to be Kenya’s energy solutions provider of choice by providing quality and reliable service to power people for better lives and enable the country’s socio-economic development in a sustainable manner. Kenya Power’s key mandate is to plan for sufficient electricity generation and transmission capacity to meet demand; build and maintain the power distribution and transmission network and retail electricity to its customers.

We are recruiting to fill the following positions;

  2. Oracle Database Administrator III – 1 Post
  3. Oracle Database Administrator IV – 1 Post
  4. Systems Administrator I -1 Post
  5. System Administrator III – 1 Post
  6. System Administrator IV – 1 Post
  7. SAP Basis Administrator II -1 Post
  8. Senior System Developers I – 2 Posts
  9. Systems Developer III -1 Post
  10. Systems Developer IV -1 Post
  11. Systems Security Analyst I -1 Post
  12. Systems Security Analyst IV – 4 Posts

Method of Application

Interested persons should submit their applications online through visiting Kenya Power website on Attach detailed Curriculum Vitae, copies of academic and professional certificates and other testimonials. Please note that we may use this information to conduct background verification during the recruitment process. Quote the title of the position you are applying for and include your mobile telephone contact, email addresses and names and addresses of three (3) referees to be received not later than Friday 4th August 2023.

  • Only candidates offered employment shall be expected to present the following clearance certificates; 
  • Valid Certificate of Good Conduct from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations
  • Valid Clearance Certificate from Higher Education Loans Board (HELB)
  • Valid Tax Compliance Certificate from Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA);
  • Current Clearance from the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC); 
  • Current Report from an approved Credit Reference Bureau (CRB)
