Kenya Development Corporation Ltd (KDC) is a Development Finance Institution which was established in 2020 to merge the operations of Industrial and Commercial Development Corporation (ICDC), Tourism Finance Corporation (TFC) and IDB Capital Limited. KDC is mandated to play a catalytic role in Kenya’s socio-economic development by providing long-term financing and other financial, investment and business advisory services. Therefore, KDC plays an important role in addressing critical gaps for long-term funding that cannot be met by commercial banks in target sectors in Kenya and elsewhere.

Assistant Manager Corporate Communication
Duties and responsibilities
- Incorporating online tools and in-person networking to create relationships and ultimately build the KDC brand, both online and off line.
- Content creation, writing blog posts, articles, newsletters, communications materials, and material for social media channels.
- Social media marketing– creating, managing and growing the authority’s presence through blogs, Twitter, Facebook, and other strategically relevant online properties.
- Events and event planning– attending industry events and planning meetups for KDC leadership.
- Managing incoming media requests and building relationships with industry journalists; creating, executing and measuring media campaigns.
- Overseeing the customer support – collecting reports, and forwarding clients feedbacks to the management.
- Managing any online feedback forums.
- Implement strategic communications plans and to provide local market insight for the authorities public-facing communications.
- Analytics– Using Google Analytics and other measurement tools to provide reports on metrics, and continually find ways to improve on those metrics through testing and new initiatives.

For appointment to this grade an officer must have at least;
- A minimum period of eight (8) years relevant work experience four (4) of which should have been at supervisory level.
- Master’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, Marketing,
- International Relations or any other equivalent qualifications from a recognized institution.

Assistant Manager Risk Management and Compliance
Duties and Responsibilities
- Implementing the Enterprise Risk Management policies and Enterprise Risk Management Framework;
- Monitor implementation of intervention programs to address the Corporation’s adherence to Association of African Development Finance Institutions (AADFI) prudential guidelines;
- Undertake proper analysis of risk and compliance;
- Implementing effective risk appraisal and measurement tools;
- Reviewing all applications for credit/investment so as to identify, measure and mitigate risk;
- Preparing quality risk reports;
- Ensuring proper maintenance of risk and compliance culture within the Corporation;
- Providing support, education and training to staff to build risk awareness within the Corporation;
- Carrying out quarterly assessments for compliance and risk assessment at the Corporation.
Person Specifications
- At least eight (8) years’ relevant work experience, four (4) of which must have been in a supervisory role;

Assistant Manager, Business Advisory
Duties and Responsibilities
- Undertaking Feasibility studies, and developing business plans for potential customers;
- Reviewing stalled and ailing projects and advise the KDC on how to rehabilitate them;
- Undertaking entrepreneurial development through non-financial support;
- Undertaking enhancement of business plans for KDC’s prospective clients;
- Developing turnaround plans for distressed clients applying for finance from the Corporation;
- Offering client readiness support to bring a funding application to a bankable stage.;
- Undertaking business diagnosis to identify gaps and opportunities in
- governance, strategy and management of the business;
- Supporting businesses to undertake analysis, design and implementation of business solutions to close identified gaps and pursue identified opportunities.
- Advising investee companies and other enterprises on optimizing business operations through interventions such as business process re-engineering, supply chain and logistics management, operational efficiencies improvement, productivity improvement, pricing strategies, sales and channel effectiveness, customer relations management, and capital expenditure planning.
- Providing business enabling systems and tools such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), financial and human capital systems, mentorship and coaching, corporate governance and business management training.
- Identifying income generating programs including share registration, company secretarial services and book keeping for investee and associate companies of KDC.

Senior Information Communications Technology Officer
Duties and responsibilities
- Developing documentation of computer programs according to instructions and specifications;
- Installing and configuring computer systems and solutions;
- Maintaining application systems;
- Providing end user support and training users on effective and efficient use of ICT facilities;
- Maintaining up to date equipment register;
- Installing, configuring and monitoring Local Area Network components;
- Administering and managing users in the Active Directory, e-mail server and User applications;
- Maintaining an up-to-date ICT equipment register and issuance register;
- Updating and maintaining the KDC website; and

Person Specifications

Deputy Director Investments Appraisal and Administration
Duties and responsibilities
- Developing and implementing customer centric strategies based on market needs;
- Identifying opportunities to initiate viable projects;
- Identifying project funding options;
- Evaluating the viability of the investment opportunities;
- Identifying and mitigating key project risks;
- Monitoring the implementation and operation of projects;

Manager, Internal Audit
Duties and responsibilities
- Formulating and coordinating the implementation of internal audit policies, strategies and plans;
- Compiling and issuing internal audit reports;
- Conducting special audits and investigations;
- Setting up and implementing systems in accordance with auditing standards;
- Testing the efficacy of the risk assessment systems;
- Monitoring and reporting on the Board overall risk profile;
- Supporting various departments in risk profiling;
- Reviewing correctness and accuracy of accounting reports;
- Providing of independent assurance on risk management process on both design and operation; and
