Gusii Water and Sanitation Company Limited (GWASCO) is a Private Limited Company by shares incorporated on the 12th June 2006 under the Companies Act Cap 486 of the Laws of Kenya. We are an agent of Lake Victoria South Water Works Development Agency(LVSWWDA), created as a result of the enactment of the Water Act 2002 which gave birth to the Water Sector Reforms in Kenya.

Customer Care Officer

Job Purpose
- The Customer care officer is the first point of contact with the customer. The main responsibility is to answer customer enquiries about products, services and generate sales.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Receive customer complaints
- Analyse and record the complaints
- Investigate the complaints and seek possible solutions though the mechanisms developed in line with company policy.
- Liaise with other sections/departments in dealing with customer issues
- Issue forms and other related documents and guide customers in filling them correctly
- Follow up registered disputes by customers to make sure that they are resolved amicably and in good time.
- Collecting and analysing customer feedback
- Providing information about company products & services
- Providing proactive customer outreach
- Developing and documenting knowledge into helpful content
- Tracking customer service KPIs and metrics
- Establish and monitor the standards for customer service in the Company

Relevant professional qualifications.

Procurement Officer

Job Purpose
- Procurement Officer is responsible for evaluating suppliers, products, and services, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that approved purchases are cost-efficient and of high quality.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Following and enforcing the company’s procurement policies and procedures.
- Reviewing, comparing, analyzing, and approving products and services to be purchased.
- Managing inventories and maintaining accurate purchase and pricing records.
- Maintaining and updating supplier information such as qualifications, delivery times, product ranges.
- Maintaining good supplier relations and negotiating contracts.
- Responsible for order placement timing, supply / demand alignment, material replenishment and supplier performance

Information, Communication and Technology Officer

Job Purpose
- Provide support to all staff on organization supported applications by troubleshooting ICT related problems, diagnosing issues and taking appropriate action.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensure all servers and computers join active directory and they have the right group policies before joining organization’s network.
- Install, configure, monitor and maintain all servers /computer systems i.e., operating systems, anti-virus software, productivity software (Microsoft Office), enterprise resource planning system, and any other ICT systems
- Ensure data of all computer systems are backed up both onsite and offsite and they are kept updated and optimally configured with latest software patches and database updates
- Ensure availability and access to email and Internet for all users
- Provide first line software and hardware support to users as well as service & maintenance of ICT equipment
- Participate in reviewing, formulating and implementing the ICT Policy for the organization

Technical Officer – Facility Management

Job Purpose
- To assist the Technical Services Manager in ensuring the Company’s infrastructure repairs and maintenance are done efficiently and in a cost-effective manner to meet the customers’ expectations while meeting the set health and safety standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensuring the company’s infrastructures function smoothly throughout their operational life.
- Developing, planning, and coordinating infrastructure and equipment maintenance schedules and activities.
- Coordinating and overseeing contractors performing maintenance activities.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant WASREB regulations, building codes, and health and safety standards.
- Management of the sewer distribution network.
- Preparing periodic reports and compliance documentation.

- At least three (3) years’ experience in a water treatment facility as a facility/water supply operator/ maintenance officer.
- Experience in the STP works.

Billing Officer

Job Purpose
- To process customer bills for services rendered, maintain accurate records and produce bills on time.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Promptly generate meter reading books in the billing system according to the approved billing cycle.
- Promptly confirm receipt of submitted meter readings in meter reading system and send to billing system verify Meter reading photograph against the submitted corresponding meter readings and correct submitted mismatched readings in the billing system.
- Generate exceptional/anomaly reports submit to and instruct meter reader to address, collect feedback update submitted information in billing system.
- Generate ad-hoc and or monthly customer water bill(s) per meter reading book.
- Promptly generate debtors and customer disconnection list, seek approval for disconnection of defaulters.

- Collect report on any issues, observed challenges, conclusion of findings and recommendations from enforcement officers, resolve and or escalate to your supervisor.
- Prepare and submit ad-hoc and or monthly reports including but not limited to billing versus collection, estimated versus actual meter reading, active versus inactive accounts, customer complains analysis, monthly water billing summary report.
Qualifications & Experience
- Degree or Diploma in ICT, Business Management, Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution.

Job Purpose
- The M&E Officer will play a critical role in ensuring that data collected is accurate, complete and timely, and that it is used to inform programmatic decisions and improve performance:
Duties & Responsibilities
- Assisting in the development of project M&E plans, including identifying project indicators, setting targets, and establishing data collection and analysis methods.
- Leading design of data collection tools and collecting data from various sources, including project staff, partners and beneficiaries, to track the progress of the project.
- Entering data into databases and maintaining the accuracy and completeness of project data.
- Assist in analyzing project data to identify trends, patterns and insights, and presenting findings to the M&E team and project stakeholders.
- Assist in preparing and submitting reports on project progress, impact and outcomes, and sharing these reports with project stakeholders.
- Assist in drafting indicator definitions to ensure that project M&E activities are conducted in accordance with established standards and procedures.
- Providing support to project teams in the implementation of M&E activities, including facilitating data collection and supporting data analysis.
- Collaborating with other members of the M&E team, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure that project M&E activities are aligned with project goals and objectives.
- Contributing to the continuous improvement of project M&E processes and procedures to ensure that they are efficient, effective and responsive to project needs.
- Perform any other tasks required to advance the projects’ and the division’s M& E agenda.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Demography, Development Studies, Project Management, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience in monitoring and evaluation, with experience in formulation of M&E frameworks, tracking project milestones, data collection and analysis.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and data analysis software such as Stata or SPSS.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
