Applications are open for the World of Devs x Canada Innovation Corridor Summit: Develop to Disrupt Hackathon 2021. Develop to Disrupt is a hackathon where students will be tasked to design, develop and create an idea that has the potential to disrupt the market, similar to large companies like Google, Netflix, and Uber.
During this event, hackers will get to experience live workshops, engaging activities and the chance to network with professionals and like-minded students.
World of Devs is an organization that aims to bring the youth’s eyes to web and app development, so they can learn the necessary technological skills for the future. Canada’s Innovation Corridor Summit is a summit anchored by the Greater Toronto & Hamilton Area (GTHA) and Waterloo regions to shape the area’s future with high quality of life through the means of technology and manufacturing.
Benefits
- Participants will be judged and win from a prize pool of over $35,000 in free cash and software and move ahead to the Canada Innovation Corridor Summit pitch competition for investment in their companies!
Eligibility
- Open to First Year University, High School and Middle School Students;
- No coding and designing experience is required;
- Applications may come from anywhere in the world.
Application
Participants can register individually or with a team. If you would like a team but do not have one, they will match you up with participants before the event. If you have already decided on a team, choose one person to create the team on Eventbrite. They will choose a team name, and set a password to complete their sign-up.
Later, every team member must sign up and enter the corresponding team name and team password. If this is completed correctly, you will be placed in the same team.
