American actress Sharon Stone was blocked on dating app Bumble after some users had reported that her account was fake. The 61 years old star subsequently reached out to Bumble on Twitter asking not to be shut out of the matchmaking app.
“I went on the @bumble dating sight [sic] and they closed my account. Some users reported that it couldn’t possibly be me! Hey @bumble, is being me exclusionary? Don’t shut me out of the hive”
Stone subsequently posted a screenshot of her account after it was blocked. A statement on the blocked account read:
“Your account has been blocked because we’ve received several reports about your profile being fake.”
Bumble say they have now unblocked Stone’s account. Bumble’s editorial director Clare O’Connor responded to Stone’s tweet to inform her of the updated status of the account and that she can “get back to Bumbling”.
